The idea was to make an inventory system for the Vive VR set with the wireless controllers. But we didn't have those items. So we tried to make it with the Oculus Rift and the Leap Motion.
The system is a companion based object that would hold your items. It would follow you around in the world and provide you with information if needed. If you touch the orb it would fly in front of you and show you your items. You can litteraly pull the items out of the orb to equip an item. When you walk away it will folow you automatically again.


I've made it in Unreal Engine 4 and made use of the Oculus Rift and Leap Motion. For the Leap Motion I needed a plugin that made it compatible with the Unreal Engine 4.
